A new Philips Classics recording by pianist Mitsuko Uchida of two famous Beethoven sonatas is this week's entrant to the Billboard classical chart, debuting at no. 11. The disc features the Op. 101 sonata (No. 28) and the "Hammerklavier," Op. 106 (No. 29).

New Impossibilities, the new disc by Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble with the Chicago Symphony, remains at no. 1, where it made its debut two weeks ago. Following is the soundtrack (largely opera arias) to the recently-released comedy film No Reservations, which arrived at no. 2 last week. In third position is Sting's John Dowland collection Songs from the Labyrinth; rising from no. 7 to no. 4 is pianist Jon Nakamatsu's all-Gershwin disc with the Rochester Philharmonic.

Next on the classical chart are Ma's Appassionato (no. 5), Osvaldo Golijov's Oceana (no. 6), Joshua Bell's Voice of the Violin (no. 7), crossover violinist Andrй Rieu's The Homecoming! (rising from 11th to 8th), Masters and Commanders: Music from Seafaring Film Classics by the Cincinnati Pops (no. 9), and the choir Stile Antico's "Music for Compline" (no. 10).

Tenor Mark Padmore's Handel recital for Harmonia Mundi, "As steals the morn," has jumped from no. 18 to no. 13 this week, while Chanticleer's And on Earth, Peace: A Chanticleer Mass rose from no. 23 to no. 16. Soprano Nicole Cabell's debut recording fell from no. 14 to no. 24.

Returning to the chart are the soundtrack to the film The Painted Veil at no. 19, Rieu's New Year's in Vienna at no. 22, and the Sony BMG Classical compilation The Essential Joshua Bell at no. 23.

At the top of the Billboard classical chart, as usual, are Josh Groban's Awake at no. 1, followed by Andrea Bocelli's Amore and Il Divo's Ancora. The two movie soundtracks in the crossover top ten changed places, with Pride and Prejudice now at no. 4 and the Edith Piaf biopic La Vie en rose at no. 6. Filling out the top ten are Il Divo's Siempre (no. 5), Andrea Bocelli's Under the Desert Sky (no. 7) and Amor (no. 8), Juanita Bynum and Jonathan butler's Gospel Goes Classical (no. 9) and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's collection of Broadway and Hollywood tunes, Showtime! (no. 10).
